The First Judgement

[And suddenly folks, a message from our sponsor:]

Many people would rather swallow a lie than a truth, but there are only so many lies one can tell before the truth is eventually realized. And even then, some people still would rather live knowing it is a lie. Here, it is quite evident that this is true. Although there is a fine line between someone wishing to live a lie and forcing someone to live a lie, they are both despicable acts. That being said, do you realize whom exactly you are trying to fool?  You may not have an idea of the depth of the crime you have committed, and even if you do it is most likely you do not realize the consequences that are awaiting for you before and when you come to your end. You can choose to hide and cover your tracks, however.... there is nothing that can stop you from inevitably getting what you truly deserve.

No, I guess not...but it's alright!

Okay, Shikieiki!

[identity profile] nekomikoreimu.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
I was trying to save Gensokyo. I fought to stop them.

Besides, I didn't attack first ... most of the time.

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
I would suppose not, unless he was deliberately naming his children with something in mind.

pfffft that icon. XD

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
For a shrine maiden, you can be quite hostile, as well as jump to conclusions easily, and therefore involve others who have nothing to do with the incident in unnecessary battles. Even if it isn't all the time.

I know, I love that icon.

[identity profile] nekomikoreimu.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 08:25 am (UTC)(link)
I go by my instinct and what I see. I am justified in my attacks.

[identity profile] convallariaceae.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 08:35 am (UTC)(link)
[Yuuka starts LAUGHING. Oh my God she seems so absolutely amused by what she sees as a completely naive view of life.]

Hard work, discipline, compassion and diligence? My my but you have spent FAR too much time outside the confines of the mortal world to truly understand what that brings you!

Those are simply lies. Lies told to mortal children so that they will work hard for their community with blind faith!

It truly grants you nothing! It grants you only disappointment and shattered dreams! Oh what a privileged life you've lead being able to follow such hollow values and still reaching the point you've now reached!
thenorthernwall: (Generations of HOTNESS.)

[personal profile] thenorthernwall 2010-07-04 08:42 am (UTC)(link)
It sounds like someone finally agrees with me to some extent.

I haven't heard your voice before. Who are you?

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 09:24 am (UTC)(link)
A common beast goes by its instinct and what it sees. Is this truly what you base your justification solely on?

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 10:26 am (UTC)(link)
[Shikieiki isn't exactly surprised at her reaction nor her words. It is possible she was expecting this.]

I have, and therefore it is probably for that reason I did not have such misfortune befall me as it would if I have lived a life in the mortal world. Yes, that's right...a hard-working farmer could still have his crops fail even when it is time for a bountiful harvest. I live by different values because of my different experiences and therefore mine are not realistic according to yours or possibly anyone else's. Then again, there are those besides myself who have these values and lived a mortal life, even if it was a hard life.

Lies? Yes, these words can be used as lies but they can be used as the truth as well.

If it grants nothing, then why do people still trust and help each other? If it only grants disappointment and shattered dreams, then why are there people who are content with their lives and those who live out their dreams? Well then, who is going to follow these values if no one will? Who will go to heaven if no one is willing to commit good deeds?!

There are people who live their lives for many years and still suffer, yet some will still work hard. Struggle is an important factor of life, and even though reality will deal you a harsher blow than any blade you must pick yourself back up.

Through hardship one must strive to work diligently, show compassion even when no one else around them will, have tolerance, and treat everyone equally. You will receive your just reward as you persevere and keep these values as you live your life. You can choose to lie in your despair, make others suffer, or perhaps continue to live a life that's a lie. Now, by living a life of denial, it doesn't grant you anything. When all is said and done, you will realize this truth!

I'm glad to hear that.

I am Shikieiki Yamaxanadu. However, the latter is more my title than anything, although they apparently have my name as 'Shikeiki Amamiya'. Who are you?
thenorthernwall: (I'm a free bitch baby.)

[personal profile] thenorthernwall 2010-07-04 10:33 am (UTC)(link)
Major General Olivier Mira Armstrong. I don't accept any reality but my own, or any philosophies that rely on idiotic excuses to explain things.

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 10:57 am (UTC)(link)
Well met, Olivier.

Yes, this man who calls himself 'Grady' will have to think twice if he thinks everyone he brings here is easy to fool. I can't be content with living a false life, either; he has power, but there is only so much one can get away with power.
thenorthernwall: (I know what you mean.)

[personal profile] thenorthernwall 2010-07-04 11:05 am (UTC)(link)
And only so long even the weakest person can remain so.

How much have you learned about this place?

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 11:15 am (UTC)(link)
I have learned that there is a man by the name of Grady who is supposedly the one responsible for our captivity in Mayfield. Not to mention the fact that he can also turn us into 'drones', therefore making us similar to most of the regular inhabitants of this town. Mindless. There is also the obvious: we have been assembled into houses, and trying to have been convinced we have lived as a family member for many years previous. There is also the fact that our powers have been taken away, if we had any. There are also 'events' in which we obtain our previous powers or important possessions. That of which can range from as unpleasant as 'mass murders' to something less so.

...

Death does not hold much meaning here, as well. I'm told that when one dies here, they simply wake up the next day as if nothing happens.

[identity profile] convallariaceae.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh goodness. Yuuka's laughing REALLY hard now. It sounds like she's having trouble getting it under control so she can at least breathe.]

Why thank you for the little fairy tale.

But...do you really think I want to be granted anything out of life? Do you really think I want to scrape and grovel and behave myself so that your naive judgment may grant me some wonderful reward?

Perhaps I should have followed these guidelines you place upon life. At least if I had, I would have been dead thousands upon thousands of years ago and would no longer have to care.

But I didn't. However, you seem to think I didn't work hard.

I did. In a very different way from your sunshine and rainbows view of how one should...but I did. Survival was a full time job, quite some time ago. However, the world full of humans and selfish creatures that wish to destroy me through their ill-conceived self-righteousness deserve absolutely no compassion from me.

I will in turn destroy them through my own ill-conceived self-righteousness...and thoroughly enjoy delivering such a punishment.

Continue to believe in fairy tales if you wish. However, this place in and of itself is proof against your childish beliefs on how the world works.

Enjoy your prison sentence that you were arbitrarily given without any explanation.

"I don't think Grady is responsible, just involved in some way. There is also the Mayor. I hear rumor of a Milkman and a child too.

Though, since we may be working together a bit. We should get to know eachother more."

No probs, stuff happens

[identity profile] sniper-shark.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Janus Cascade, drifter.

[identity profile] covets-humanity.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe he did. You could say our family was a bit strange.

[identity profile] nekomikoreimu.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
... no. I also go by facts and clues.
thenorthernwall: (Hope it gives you hell.)

[personal profile] thenorthernwall 2010-07-05 06:42 am (UTC)(link)
You've learned quite a bit, then.

I'm apparently somewhat respected by several of the residents--our fellow captives--and they've entrusted me with a great deal of information. You are welcome to peruse it.

[identity profile] hourai-branch.livejournal.com 2010-07-05 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not just Grady. He has a boss.

[identity profile] ahoge-goddess.livejournal.com 2010-07-05 02:31 pm (UTC)(link)
If you require any assistance adjusting to this town, I will be happy to provide it.

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-05 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
...

I see. With such strong convictions, I imagine you picture yourself easily with a greater understanding of how the world works. Of course, I could be wrong but it is hard to tell with the arrogance you carry yourself with. Your experience is just one of many -- although it may be due to solely that you are blind. It is easy not to think of many different possibilities when you have been taught only one, especially by force.

I wish otherwise for yourself, Kazami. This 'prison sentence' is not made for anyone to enjoy.

"So, he has accomplices after all. It would be nigh impossible for only one individual to accomplish this kind of feat.

I agree. I would have gave you my name, however, it appears you already know. If I had, I would have included my title -- Yamaxanadu -- which they have replaced with your surname. From where I came, I would be known as the judge of hell. I meet the spirits who would journey across the Sanzu River successfully and give them their final judgment."

[She holds out a hand to Yuuhi for a handshake.]

"It is a pleasure to meet you."

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-05 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I am Shikieiki Yamaxanadu. It is a pleasure to speak with you.
