[This kind of work Shikieki was obviously unused to, but that meant it was all the more reason to put all of her effort into it. She has been making some progress, but at the same time being just as cautious as one can in a dangerous place. Then again, she wasn't perfect--evidenced by the cuts she would have on her hands after work; however, she didn't complain...no matter what gruesome scenes she saw at work as she was sure it wasn't going to help. She didn't talk at all, and because of this the day passed by quickly.

...

......

..........

The announcements were still ringing crisp, as if they had been spoken directly in her ear and it was something that had her furious -- as much like most of the other individuals in Mayfield. However, she didn't even think of causing violence -- especially when it wouldn't benefit any of them; it would be simply a waste of breath, time, and add more to the pile of dead bodies behind the party leader's house or just add more to the impaired.

...

To increase proficiently means to put even more of a strain on them, so for all her attempts to show otherwise the exhaustion was getting to her.

Everything seemed to be gray, there was so much gray; they tried to force a world of white using the color of gray, but it was all black. It was a world of false white painted as gray; a ugly gray world, but soon her own world turned black when she entered unconsciousness as soon as she stepped on the sidewalk.]

{ooc:After work and a certain meeting, she's fainted due to exhaustion near her residence.}

Alright then. [stopping in his tracks and stretches his arms out before picking up the wheelbarrow again.]

Just tell me where you live at or direct me where to go and I'll just take you right on over.

[She nods.]

My apartment can be found at 5721 Cunningham Lane.

...In the meantime, may I ask what kind of job you have been given?

My job? I was told to 'distribute' ten vats of this liquor. Can't say I'm thrilled about doing it but I can't complain after hearing what other people have to do in comparison.

I mostly give it to people who really need it... like pain relief since this alcohol is pretty potent from what I've heard about it and there's no way anyone can convince me that there are people hurt just by coming out of that factory. Normally, I'd think a first aid kit should be enough but I haven't even seen one of those at all.

Yes, it seems to make one's job appear less troublesome if one has a occupation that is not nigh impossible or impossible.

You would think that if they wished the people to perform much better there would be more food, as well as additional medical supplies, and such. However, it is obvious that they simply wish to do otherwise and simply watch us struggle for their own amusement.
