The First Judgement

[And suddenly folks, a message from our sponsor:]

Many people would rather swallow a lie than a truth, but there are only so many lies one can tell before the truth is eventually realized. And even then, some people still would rather live knowing it is a lie. Here, it is quite evident that this is true. Although there is a fine line between someone wishing to live a lie and forcing someone to live a lie, they are both despicable acts. That being said, do you realize whom exactly you are trying to fool?  You may not have an idea of the depth of the crime you have committed, and even if you do it is most likely you do not realize the consequences that are awaiting for you before and when you come to your end. You can choose to hide and cover your tracks, however.... there is nothing that can stop you from inevitably getting what you truly deserve.

totally youkai moe

This is the kind of result that comes from having an unnaturally long lifespan. Youkai such as yourself can become prone to being unable to fully handle the strain of those painful experiences that may come along sometime in one's life. At least, not without some heavy consequences--as for every action, there is a consequence.

Their power appears to be infinite, as even in my mind I cannot easily fathom its end. However, there must some sort of weakness somewhere. There is nothing that can be truly considered 'perfect' that exists. From that I can ascertain that it does have a limit and therefore an end.

What I cannot wait for is when everyone, including yourself, is freed from this town.

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
I would hope not.

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
[Wait, what?!]

It doesn't matter? Little fairy, you do not realize the gravity behind those words.

Such a life is like a forced immortality; when one cannot die, it becomes painful simply for them to live. Mark my words, if nothing is done about it then this might as well become a catalyst for a less pleasant existence.

Maybe, just maybe, you don't have as many qualms about it; there are individuals who would, however, react otherwise. If there's something to look out for it would be those who wouldn't hesitate to give their fellows a slow and painful death. Perhaps one time wouldn't be enough, and maybe they would come back for more.

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
I see. I can understand that.

...Have you been here long?

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
...

What would make you say that?

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
...And you are Houraisan Kaguya, are you not?

I'm guessing she would introduce her name along with her title.

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
I am the one who awaits those who are to be judged in their afterlife; I am the Yama. Shikieiki Yamaxanadu, to be exact.

Who is it that asks?

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
A common occurrence, it seems.

Yes, apparently by the name of Grady if what I believe is to be told. I don't doubt he has someone assisting him.

[identity profile] hop-toit-udonge.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
My dearest Yama, I have no reason to speak with you. I am simply paying greeting to one as esteemed as yourself.

-Because Eirin knows her own sins are well beyond the tiny Yama's jurisdiction.-

At least someone appreciates Youkai Moe :3

[identity profile] convallariaceae.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
Unable to handle the strain?

No no, you have it all wrong. I quite enjoy it. Almost to masochistic levels.

Though I do enjoy giving others those painful experiences as well. It's all a part of the great circle of life. Existence was made to be pain and suffering...I am only fulfilling its will...and enjoying the truest experiences of the world.

I agree that there must be a weakness somewhere...but I will not bother with it. I will enjoy my time here...then someone will find a way to defeat it and I will return home.

Once the chink in the armor is found...I doubt they would have the capacity to hold me if I wished to go.

[identity profile] runawayfocus.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
Mm...well, at least I'm not the only one!

Grady? If there is, then I wonder if anyone knows, yeah?

[identity profile] covets-humanity.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
No one cares of the opinions of things they think are bugs, that's why. You, me, and everyone else--we're little chittering insects and they couldn't care less to listen.

[identity profile] sniper-shark.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
Just a few days. I guess you're new here, huh?

[identity profile] stop-it-tewi.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
Mm...

Oh, and... death doesn't seem to be permanent here. You wake up in bed the next day if you ever die...

[identity profile] funkinmylab.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
Hehe... Because he has the power of brainwashing. If you attempt any kind of confrontation, you'll just be a mindless drone for at least 24 hours.

[identity profile] lasersallover.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
I'll worry about it when the time comes. Since you're doing enough talking for the three of us, let me hold my breath for a bit. Have to keep everything balanced.

[identity profile] frogsicles.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
Huh? I don't get it. You talk too much.

[identity profile] nekomikoreimu.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
... Now you are here too? Does this town LIKE kidnapping people from gensokyo?

[Action! Same house!]

[identity profile] promisetofly.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[Comes to the room and sees that he no longer has a drone wife.]

"Hello. Welcome to Mayfield. You look about as pleased as anyone could expect to be."

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-03 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
As expected, from an individual like yourself.

[Such a sinful person!]

...Although, I wonder if you will also make yourself able to escape death in the future?

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-03 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
Hmph. I suppose maybe in the end, you will think the same, or perhaps you will think differently when judgment comes upon you. It would be even better if you realize sooner that existence was not made to be just about pain and suffering. If that was so then surely not many would hold much value in existence itself. With existence comes sorrow, pain, happiness, comfort, discomfort, wretchedness, and then there are the many other experiences that one has as they live out their lives. Without one aspect of existence, you cannot have the other.

It would be similar to trying to live believing that existence is simply made to be about happiness. Although, like you, they would be strictly basing this assumption upon their experiences in life or due simply to their unwillingness to think otherwise.

I doubt they would have the capacity to hold anyone back, once that weakness is exploited.

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-03 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, Gray. I have not met him, however, and it appears it would be unwise to confront him without a plan. I would think that at least someone here knows.

Now, I ask who it is I am speaking to?

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-03 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
Hm. If that is so, then I wouldn't be surprised--there's enough evidence to show how much arrogance they seem to have about their hold upon us.

Now, who would be telling me such words?

[identity profile] convallariaceae.livejournal.com 2010-07-03 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
Truly the great Yama is quite wise.

However, are we not shaped by our experiences? You live outside looking in. You judge others based on your own judgment.

Life is specific to each creature, is it not? My experiences shaped me into who and what I am today. For years upon years I suffered. Until those years became centuries...until the centuries became millennia.

Pain never stopped. For me, life is pain. For me, life is to give pain to others as well...it is all I know. Though, I do try to stay out of the affairs of others in my pretty little garden. Even there I cannot escape pain and suffering.

Say what you will, but what have your experiences shaped you into...being on the outside looking in?

[Is this sad story true? Who knows...but it sure does sound convincing.]

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-03 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
...

From that it could be possibly easy to guess they would fancy themselves as an existence above gods.
