The Second Judgement

[This kind of work Shikieki was obviously unused to, but that meant it was all the more reason to put all of her effort into it. She has been making some progress, but at the same time being just as cautious as one can in a dangerous place. Then again, she wasn't perfect--evidenced by the cuts she would have on her hands after work; however, she didn't complain...no matter what gruesome scenes she saw at work as she was sure it wasn't going to help. She didn't talk at all, and because of this the day passed by quickly.

...

......

..........

The announcements were still ringing crisp, as if they had been spoken directly in her ear and it was something that had her furious -- as much like most of the other individuals in Mayfield. However, she didn't even think of causing violence -- especially when it wouldn't benefit any of them; it would be simply a waste of breath, time, and add more to the pile of dead bodies behind the party leader's house or just add more to the impaired.

...

To increase proficiently means to put even more of a strain on them, so for all her attempts to show otherwise the exhaustion was getting to her.

Everything seemed to be gray, there was so much gray; they tried to force a world of white using the color of gray, but it was all black. It was a world of false white painted as gray; a ugly gray world, but soon her own world turned black when she entered unconsciousness as soon as she stepped on the sidewalk.]

{ooc:After work and a certain meeting, she's fainted due to exhaustion near her residence.}

[Kaguya is there to the rescue]

Hey, hey!

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-08 06:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[So reliable, Kaguya. She may not be responding right now, though, for obvious reasons.]

[identity profile] hourai-branch.livejournal.com 2010-07-11 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[Kaguya tries and pulls her up]

[Tries being the operative word]

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-11 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)
[Bonus points for effort. It may take a bit for her to actually wake up, though. Also, she isn't that heavy either.]

[identity profile] hourai-branch.livejournal.com 2010-07-12 08:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[Yeah, but Kaguya doesn't do physical activity. Except against Mokou...sometimes]

[She attempts to try the tired-and-true poking method]

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
[She opens her eyes, giving Kaguya a slightly disoriented look for about a moment before sitting up.]

...This is rather unfortunate. I have to say, I'm surprised to see you here.

[She slowly rises to her feet.]

[identity profile] hourai-branch.livejournal.com 2010-07-14 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
You alright?

As a princess, I need to look out for other people. For my sake.

(Really, she's trying to be nice).

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-14 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes.

[She gives Kaguya a tired smile.]

Your consideration is appreciated, even if you say it is for your sake.

[identity profile] hourai-branch.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 05:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I have a right to be selfish.

[Tries to help you up again]

[identity profile] lasersallover.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
[LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE NEEDS A HOSPITAL VISIT.

Marisa will be dragging.]

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
[Damn it Marisa.

...

She won't wake up to they're like almost there, though. To which, you hear a very tired, annoyed voice.]

Let go of me.

[identity profile] lasersallover.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
No way! You're a normal human now so that means you're fair game for me to take care of.

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
[If there's one person she can't trust easily based upon their words, it would be Marisa The Compulsive Liar.]

I'm fine now so you do not have to take care of me. Besides, if you really were intent with helping me based upon my condition you would have carried me properly. Dragging one on the ground is not exactly the best way to transport someone, Kirisame. In fact, it already shows some negligence and carelessness on your behalf that certainly do not fit a proper 'caretaker's' qualities. In conclusion, I have determined that having you look after me is not exactly such a good idea.

[identity profile] lasersallover.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
You know how I am! If you're a normal human, I've gotta keep you safe from all those problems out there.

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
[...]

So that was your intention?

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
[A small, tired smile.]

To 'keep me safe from all those problems out there'.

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
...How nice. Next time, however, I would like for you to carry me properly.

[It doesn't stop her from closing her eyes because so tired.]

[identity profile] lasersallover.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
You'd better hope there's not a next time!

[and plopping her up in a gurney/cot thing]

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
[And she murmurs a 'thank you' before drifting off into sleep.]

[identity profile] inb4gar.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
[If by chance whenever she would come to, Shikieiki would soon find herself in a wheelbarrow with some bottles of vodka left inside since Shirou is doing his own job at the moment as well.]

It's really gotten bad that even people are collapsing wherever in town, has it? This girl doesn't look like something happened to her like those people mentioned being executed... still, I should take her to a doctor or something.

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
[Wait what. What is this.]

Excuse me? ...I only need some rest. Who are you?

[identity profile] inb4gar.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
[It was called a Hero of Justice at work. Also, someone trying to carry you somewhere since the ground is a very hard place to rest on.]

Oh, you're awake? Sorry. I just saw you passed out on the ground and I didn't know what to do. I sort of figured that I should take you to see a doctor if it was something serious. Especially with things happening right now... how are you feeling so far?

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
[The method was quite inventive, but was appreciated nonetheless.]

I am feeling like someone who has been overworked, however I will be fine...once I have some rest.

Still, might I ask who you are?

[identity profile] inb4gar.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, right. Shirou. Emiya Shirou, that's my name. And yours?

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 07:15 am (UTC)(link)
...Shikieiki Yamaxanadu. A pleasure to meet you, and I thank you for your kind assistance.

[identity profile] inb4gar.livejournal.com 2010-07-10 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
Shikieiki, huh? Nice to meet you too although it's a shame that we had to meet in not so pleasant circumstances. But if you're feeling better, I can go take you back to where you live if you'd like. Assuming you're feeling well enough now to move around and not so exhausted from too much work, that is.

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-10 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
It is. Yes, that would be appreciated.

[identity profile] inb4gar.livejournal.com 2010-07-10 06:53 am (UTC)(link)
Alright then. [stopping in his tracks and stretches his arms out before picking up the wheelbarrow again.]

Just tell me where you live at or direct me where to go and I'll just take you right on over.

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-10 02:59 pm (UTC)(link)
[She nods.]

My apartment can be found at 5721 Cunningham Lane.

...In the meantime, may I ask what kind of job you have been given?

[identity profile] inb4gar.livejournal.com 2010-07-11 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
My job? I was told to 'distribute' ten vats of this liquor. Can't say I'm thrilled about doing it but I can't complain after hearing what other people have to do in comparison.

I mostly give it to people who really need it... like pain relief since this alcohol is pretty potent from what I've heard about it and there's no way anyone can convince me that there are people hurt just by coming out of that factory. Normally, I'd think a first aid kit should be enough but I haven't even seen one of those at all.

[identity profile] supremejudge.livejournal.com 2010-07-11 11:55 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, it seems to make one's job appear less troublesome if one has a occupation that is not nigh impossible or impossible.

You would think that if they wished the people to perform much better there would be more food, as well as additional medical supplies, and such. However, it is obvious that they simply wish to do otherwise and simply watch us struggle for their own amusement.
